[T]he Christian life, properly lived, is a life of faith, hope, and love. God calls us to place our faith and hope in Jesus. We love Jesus because He first loved us. Then we live out our love for Jesus by putting our faith and hope into action by helping others.
Coffee farming is a life of faith, hope, and love. A coffee farmer plants coffee plants in faith, not knowing if they’ll live past the first few months to take root. Then he or she hopes for three years that the plants will grow into strong and healthy plants which will bring a great harvest. During those years of hoping, the farmer nurtures and cares for the plants to help them along. But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love

We demonstrate our love for Lenca families by helping them to start their own coffee growing farms. This brings them economic hope for the future. This frees them from being migrant farm workers with little to show for their hard work. We have faith that God will work in the hearts and minds of the Lenca we help to open opportunities for us to tell them about Jesus. We hope they will receive the free gift of salvation through faith in Jesus so that their lives will be changed forever.
